7/3/2025 - NOTICE: Important emergency information and resources available through county and state

Dear Brushy Creek MUD residents,

We want to let you know about two emergency information resources available from Williamson County and the State of Texas.

The State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry, (STEAR), program is a free registry that may provide emergency assistance for at-risk and disabled individuals, such as:

  • People with disabilities
  • People who are medically fragile
  • People with access and functional needs such as:
    • People who have limited mobility
    • People who have communication barriers
    • People who require additional medical assistance during an emergency event
    • People who require transportation assistance
    • People who require personal care assistance

Additionally, Williamson County provides a wealth of information on the best ways to prepare for emergency situations that include:

  • Severe weather
  • Drought
  • Fire danger
  • Flooding
  • Tornados

The Williamson County Emergency Preparedness package also contains access to sign up for emergency alerts and download the Federal Emergency Management Agency, (FEMA), app.
